Best Damn Cornbread
This homemade cornbread recipe is a symphony of flavors, striking the perfect balance between slightly sweet and irresistibly savory.
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 2 TBSP vegetable oil
- 2 cups corn meal
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 can cream style corn
- ½ cup milk
- 2 TBSP honey
- ½ cup plain Greek yogurt or sour cream
- Butter for serving
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350
- Butter cast iron skillet
- In a bowl whisk together the eggs and oil
- Add in the remaining ingredients and stir until just combined, don’t over-mix
- Pour mixture into prepared cast iron
- Bake for 40 mins
- Remove from oven, top with butter, serve warm
