Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Prepare the Meat: Line a baking sheet with foil. Press the ground beef onto the baking sheet, shaping it into a thin, large rectangle. The meat needs to be larger than the size of the Hawaiian Roll loaf because it will shrink as it cooks. Season the beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Bake the Meat: Place the beef in the oven and bake for 15 minutes, or until cooked through.
Hydrate the Onions: While the meat is baking, add 2 tablespoons of water to the minced onions to rehydrate them. Set aside.
Prepare the Rolls: Carefully slice the entire package of Hawaiian Rolls horizontally, separating the tops from the bottoms.
Drain the Grease: When the meat is done, drain any excess grease.
Assemble the Sliders:
Spread mustard and ketchup over the bottom half of the Hawaiian Rolls.
Add half of the cheese slices to fit.
Place the cooked beef patty on top of the cheese.
Layer the remaining cheese slices, rehydrated onions, and pickles over the beef.
Add the Top of the Rolls: Place the top half of the Hawaiian Rolls over the layered fillings.
Brush with Butter and Sesame Seeds: Mix the melted butter and sesame seeds, then brush this mixture over the tops of the rolls.
Final Bake: Place the assembled sliders back in the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden.
Serve: Slice into individual sliders and serve warm. Enjoy!
