Mozart Mozzarella
With layers of seasoned ground beef, rich marinara, melted mozzarella, and buttery crescent rolls filled with a creamy, garlicky surprise, my Mozart Mozzarella is a symphony of flavors that your family will love.
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs lean ground beef
- ½ large onion or 1 small onion diced
- 1 TBSP Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 TBSP minced garlic
- 2 cups of your favorite marinara sauce
- 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 can of crescent rolls
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 egg beaten
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the onion and ground beef with Italian seasoning, salt, and minced garlic until the meat is browned and cooked through.
- While the meat is cooking, prepare the crescents. Spread a spoonful of Greek yogurt on each crescent, sprinkle with Italian seasoning and garlic powder, and roll them into their classic crescent shape.
- Once the beef is cooked, drain excess grease using a paper towel.
- In a casserole dish, combine the cooked beef with marinara sauce, stirring to coat the meat evenly.
- Top with shredded mozzarella cheese for that gooey, melty layer we all love.
- Place the prepared crescent rolls on top of the cheese.
- Brush each crescent with beaten egg for that golden-brown finish.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, until the crescents are beautifully golden and the cheese is melted to perfection.
