Brown the beef on all sides (3 mins per side) in a pan over medium heat with the olive oil.
Add beef, carrots, potatoes, and onions to slow cooker.
Mix water and brown gravy packets until smooth. Pour over meat and vegetables.
Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4-6 hours until meat easily breaks apart.
