My Slow Cooker Pot Roast is More than a Celebration of Flavor

In Jamie’s Kitchen, we not only celebrate flavor but also embrace the beauty of convenience. Ingredients for Slow Cooker Post Roast

  • 2 lb roast
  • 1TBSP olive oil
  • 4-6 Carrots, sliced
  • 2-4 Potatoes, diced
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 1TBSP Garlic, minced
  • 2 packets of brown gravy mix *use gluten-free to make this recipe gluten-free
  • 1.5 cups of water
Slow-Cooker-Pot-Roast-In-Jamies-Kitchen-Freezer-Meals

Instructions

  1. Brown the beef on all sides (3 mins per side) in a pan over medium heat with the olive oil.  
  2. Add beef, carrots, potatoes, and onions to slow cooker. 
  3. Mix water and brown gravy packets until smooth.  Pour over meat and vegetables. 
  4. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4-6 hours until meat easily breaks apart.

Meal Prep Instructions

Prepare

  1. Brown the beef on all sides (3 mins per side) in a pan over medium heat with the olive oil.
  2. Mix water and brown gravy packets until smooth
  3. In a freezer-safe bag, combine all ingredients.
  4. Seal the bag and freeze.

To cook

  1. When ready to cook, thaw 12-24 hours in the fridge, transfer to the crockpot,
  2. cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4-6 hours until meat easily breaks apart.

Slow Cooker Pot Roast
