Crispy Chicken Sliders
Easy Crispy Chicken Sliders on Hawaiian Rolls
These Crispy Chicken Sliders were inspired by the chicken sandwich sliders we ordered on the appetizer platter at our local Topgolf. They were so delicious that I immediately knew I could recreate them at home with just a few simple ingredients.
This is one of those easy recipes that makes you wonder why you have not been making it for years. With crispy chicken fillets, soft King’s Hawaiian Rolls, fresh romaine lettuce, juicy tomato, and creamy ranch dressing, these chicken sliders on Hawaiian rolls are perfect for lunch, dinner, game day snacks, or party food.
I used Just Bare Lightly Breaded Chicken Breast Fillets because they cook up perfectly crispy and fit beautifully on the rolls. The package includes six fillets, which is just the right amount to cover a 12-pack of King’s Hawaiian Rolls. I picked up my Just Bare Chicken Fillets and King’s Hawaiian Rolls at Walmart, making this an incredibly convenient meal to throw together.
Why You’ll Love These Crispy Chicken Sliders
These easy chicken sliders are:
- Ready with minimal hands-on work
- Perfect for lunch or dinner
- Great for game day snacks and parties
- Kid approved
- Made with simple ingredients
- Easy to customize
Most of the time is hands-off while the chicken bakes in the oven, and assembly takes only a few minutes.
A Healthier Twist with Cottage Cheese Ranch
One of our favorite ways to serve these crispy chicken sliders is with my homemade cottage cheese ranch dressing. It has all of the creamy ranch flavor we love, but it is made with cottage cheese, which adds extra protein and creates a healthier alternative to traditional ranch dressing.
We use this high-protein ranch on sandwiches, salads, and as a dip for fresh vegetables. It pairs perfectly with these chicken sandwich sliders and is a great way to add a little extra nutrition without sacrificing flavor. I will link the recipe so you can make a batch to keep in the refrigerator.
Of course, regular ranch dressing works just as well if that is what you have on hand.
Helpful Kitchen Tools
A few kitchen tools make this recipe even easier:
- Sheet Pans
- Silicone Liners
- Never Dull Knives
- Cutting Boards
- Salad Spinner
- Rotary Grater
- 4-Inch Skewers
I used the shredding blade on my Rotary Grater to quickly shred the romaine lettuce. It creates perfectly thin strips in seconds and saves so much time compared to chopping by hand.
After shredding the lettuce, I like to wash and dry it in my Salad Spinner so it stays crisp and does not make the sliders soggy.

- 1 package Just Bare Lightly Breaded Chicken Breast Fillets (6 fillets)

How to Make Crispy Chicken Sliders
*printable recipe card is available at the bottom of this page
Step One: Cook the Chicken
Bake the Just Bare chicken fillets according to the package directions until they are hot and crispy.
I like to line my Sheet Pans with Silicone Liners to help prevent sticking and make cleanup easy.
Step Two: Prep the Lettuce and Tomato
Use the shredding blade on your Rotary Grater to shred the romaine lettuce in just a few seconds.
Wash and dry the lettuce in a Salad Spinner.
Slice the tomato thin using a sharp Never Dull Knife and your favorite Cutting Boards.
Step Three: Slice the Rolls
Use a serrated knife to slice the entire package of King’s Hawaiian Rolls in half horizontally, keeping the rolls connected.
Step Four: Spread the Ranch
Spread cottage cheese ranch or regular ranch dressing on both the top and bottom halves of the rolls.
Step Five: Add the Chicken
Arrange the crispy chicken fillets over the bottom half of the rolls, placing them close together so every slider gets plenty of chicken.
Step Six: Add Lettuce and Tomato
Top with shredded romaine lettuce and sliced tomatoes. Sprinkle the tomatoes lightly with salt and pepper.
Step Seven: Add the Top Buns
Place the top half of the rolls over the filling.
Step 8: Insert Skewers
Insert 4-Inch Skewers into each slider section using the natural lines in the rolls as a guide.
Step 9: Slice and Serve
Using a serrated Never Dull Knife, cut between each skewer with a gentle sawing motion to create 12 individual crispy chicken sliders.
Serve immediately with fresh fruit, raw vegetables, chips, or fries.
What to Serve with Crispy Chicken Sliders
I served these with carrots, celery, cucumber slices, and extra cottage cheese ranch for dipping. They also pair well with:
