Ingredients for Peanut Butter Protein Ice Cream
Ice cream
- 1 ½ cups ice cubes
- ½ frozen banana
- 1 scoop of protein powder (I used a chocolate peanut butter flavor but vanilla or chocolate works too).
- 2 TBSP powdered peanut butter
- ⅓ cup unsweetened almond milk
Chocolate Shell
- 1 TBSP mini chocolate chips
- 1 tsp coconut oil
Instructions
Ice Cream
- Combine all ingredients into a high-powered blender or food processor. *The mixture will be thick but it should blend together to reveal a soft serve ice cream texture without further freezing
Chocolate Shell
- Combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave on high for 1 minute stirring every 15 seconds until melted and smooth.
- Pour the chocolate over the ice cream and watch as the chocolate transforms into a hard shell within seconds.
