Baby Back Ribs
In Jamie’s Kitchen, the art of crafting the perfect dish is a creative journey. Today, we’re venturing into a savory indulgence with a recipe that’s sure to elevate your Sunday dinner – Baby Back Ribs. Picture this: ribs that strike the ideal balance between texture and flavor hot off the grill.
My Two Step Method
In my pursuit of achieving the ultimate rib experience, I’ve honed a technique that delivers that perfect bite. By first boiling the ribs and then grilling them, we ensure they maintain a tender interior while acquiring a caramelized, slightly charred exterior. This method creates a sensory experience where the meat barely clings to the bone before surrendering its savory goodness.
Join me In Jamie’s Kitchen as we embark on a journey to master the art of crafting Baby Back Ribs that are easy to make yet boast a complexity of flavors. These ribs are not meant to simply fall off the bone; instead, they invite you to savor each bite with a slightly firm texture that gradually gives way to tenderness.
Ingredients for Baby Back Ribs
- 2 racks of baby back pork ribs (about 3lbs each)
- 1 18oz bottle of BBQ sauce (I like Sweet Baby Ray’s Sweet ‘n Spicy)
Instructions
- Remove ribs from the package
- Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs
- Cut each rack into 5-6 pieces so that each piece contains 2-3 bones
- Add the ribs into a big pot and cover with water
- Bring the water to a boil and then turn the heat to medium-low and simmer uncovered for 2 hours
- Remove the ribs from the water, preheat the grill, and slather BBQ sauce on the ribs
- Grill the ribs covered, on LOW heat for 20 minutes flipping once. Add the remaining BBQ sauce as you grill.
- Once the BBQ sauce on the ribs is caramelized it’s time to remove from the grill.
- Serve ribs alongside steamed broccoli and loaded baby baked potatoes

@injamieskitchen Family rated these 10/10 and they are only 2 ingredients 😳 I used 2 racks of baby back ribs and one bottle of BBQ sauce. Simmered the ribs in a pot of water for 2 hours then covered in @sbrbbq and grilled on low for 20 mins. These NOT fall-off-the-bone (which I love). As soon as you pull the meat with your teeth it pulls off the bone and is tender and delicious. The perfect way to ring in football season 🏈#babybackribsrecipe #babybackribs #grilledribs #bbqribs
