Orange Crush Cocktail
Orange Crush Cocktail Recipe
When I visited Sup Dogs in Greenville, NC, I was blown away by their SupCrush. Sup Dogs is the GOAT when it comes to this drink, using their own house-made vodka and creating outstanding cocktails. Inspired by their delicious concoction, I set out to recreate the Orange Crush Cocktail at home. It’s pretty simple and a fantastic way to enjoy refreshing orange crush cocktails all summer long.
The Secret: Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice
The key to making this cocktail absolutely delicious is the freshly squeezed orange juice. While it might be tempting to use store-bought juice, I highly recommend taking the extra step to squeeze fresh oranges. The vibrant flavor and natural sweetness of freshly squeezed juice make all the difference.
How to Choose Fresh Oranges
When selecting oranges for your Orange Crush Cocktail, look for:
- Firmness: Choose oranges that feel firm and heavy for their size. They should have a bit of give when you gently squeeze them.
- Color: Opt for oranges with bright, vibrant skin. Avoid any with dull or discolored patches.
- Aroma: Fresh oranges should have a sweet, citrusy aroma. If they smell too tart or have no smell, they might not be as flavorful.
