Steamed-Broccoli-In-Jamies-Kitchen-Easy-Sides

Ingredients for Steamed Broccoli

  • Fresh Broccoli
  • Olive Oil
  • Seasoning of choice – I like salt and garlic powder
Steamed-Broccoli-In-Jamies-Kitchen-Easy-Sides

Instructions

  1. Wash broccoli and cut into florets. 
  2. Add the steamer basket into the pot and fill it with water until the water touches the bottom of the steamer basket.  Add the broccoli to the pot.
  3. Spritz with oil and season
  4. Cover and turn stove to high 
  5. As the water boils, the broccoli will steam.
  6. Steam to the desired texture, then remove the lid and turn off the heat.  Broccoli will continue to cook and become softer as it sits in the pot.  To stop the cooking process, remove broccoli from pot and serve right away.
